Usine Arneg

Arneg Canada Inc. was formed by the strategic alliance between Equipement de supermarché D.M.L. and multinational company Arneg S.P.A., the third largest refrigerated case manufacturer in the world. Equipement de supermarché D.M.L. began in 1988, in Napierville, Quebec, and was specialised in the refurbishing of used refrigerated cases destined for the supermarket industry. Founded by Mr Réjean Lalumière, the company counted approximately 10 employees. In 1992 Mr Lalumière purchased a 40,000 square foot building situated on a lot one million square feet in size, situated in Lacolle, Quebec. At this time the company counted 20 employees including specialised tradesmen and shareholders. It is at this moment that Mr Lalumière launched production of a line of new cases under the D.M.L. Impulsion name. The company quickly became a front runner in Quebec.

In 1996 Mr Lalumière met representatives from Arneg S.P.A. This multinational Company, founded in 1963, operates 14 manufacturing facilities around the world and employs one thousand people. Arneg Canada was formed under the name Arneg D.M.L. recongnising the D.M.L. participation in the new enterprise. The success was immediate for the company and quickly required additional personel to answer to increased demand for our products. This greater demand justified plant expansions from 40,000 sq ft to 110,000 sq ft in 1997, to 170,000 sq ft in 1999 and to 240,000 sq ft in 2005.

In the last few years Arneg Canada Inc has grown very rapidly, allowing sales to double from year to year. In 1999 Arneg Canada Inc. associated itself with Canadian distributors such as Northwest Refrigeration, situated in Alberta, Vos Food Store Equipment located in Ontario and since 2006 Valley Refrigeration based in the Maritimes. In September 2002, Arneg Canada made the acquisition of Arneg U.S.A. located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Since then, Arneg USA has been located in a new 140 sq ft plan in Lexington, North carolina. The two entities presently employ 165 people.
